Cypress tree

Memorial to the late Micha Gottlieb, who died in the 1997 Israeli helicopter disaster.

This sculpture is one of three monuments in this memorial garden.
The concept was developed from a sketch by the late Ami Levy.

Cypress tree, 6 meters high.
Made of kurkar stone.

The shadow cast by the sculpture creates the silhouette of a fallen soldier, formed from basalt fragments placed at the foot of the monument.
